Automate Web3 Payments With Scheduled Money Streams

Superfluid Stream Scheduler

The default, perpetual nature of Superfluid streams make them a powerful solution for automating recurring payments in web3, especially over long time horizons.

But what if you wanted to have more granular control over when your streams start and stop?

Traditionally, you would have to manually trigger the creation or deletion of a money stream, which isn't very convenient -- especially given potential time zone differences.

Thankfully, our Dashboard's stream scheduling feature means you never have to worry about manually starting and canceling Superfluid streams again. Simply specify your start and end date for your stream, and voila -- you can have peace of mind knowing your money stream will automatically start and stop flowing according to the dates you set. How to Schedule Superfluid Streams

To send a scheduled stream from our Dashboard, simply fill in the Send Stream details as you normally would and select the new "Stream Scheduling" toggle.

From here, all you have to do is set a Start and End Date, which will auto-populate the "Total Stream" field and show you the total amount you'll be streaming over the duration. Alternatively, you can edit the Total Stream field directly, which will automatically increase or decrease the stream's End Date.

The Benefits of Scheduling Streams

Open-Ended Streams

The stream scheduling feature allows you to ensure open-ended streams for Superfluid payroll, vesting, and subscriptions have clearly defined, automatically triggered start and stop dates.

As a result, you no longer have to stay up until midnight to start a payroll stream for a new employee, or you could start a recurring B2B payment at the beginning of the month automatically.

Close-Ended Streams

The stream scheduling feature also enables an entirely new type of money stream: the close-ended stream. In practice, close-ended streams transfer set amounts over a specific time period. This is perfect for when you want to pay for fixed-term projects or initiatives (e.g., grants, bounties) with money streams!

⚠️ Please note that due to the nature of blockchain networks, there can be a slight delay in the starting and stopping of streams, which can range from seconds to minutes. This lag is caused by the time difference between when a transaction is broadcasted to the network, and when it's included in a block.

Sign Up For Our Allowlist to Start Scheduling Superfluid Streams

Our stream scheduling feature is 100% free to use! Moreover, since it's built on our freely available Stream Scheduler contract, any app developer using Superfluid can support the same features.

However, while stream scheduling through our Dashboard is publicly available on Mumbai testnet, we're currently limiting access to mainnets to early adopters.

If you're a DAO or web3 business interested in automating web3 payments on mainnet with scheduled Superfluid streams, we encourage you to sign up for the allowlist here.
